Full moon walk - or - Divination
8:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. @ Grove - 9421 Maria Way

Join Grove friends and family for a Full moon walk, or if the weather is bad, an evening of divination.

If the weather is decent....

...we will walk from Grove to the American River Parkway to celebrate the beauty of the full moon. Please wear walking shoes and weather appropriate clothing. **Please Note** While the walk to the parkway is on paved streets, the walk down to the river will be on unpaved, dirt paths. Those with mobility issues may be unable to participate.

If the weather is not good...

...we will have an evening of divination. Please bring your favorite divination card set...tarot, oracle cards...or a favorite divination tool. We will do reading for each other.

With Mercury in retrograde, this is a great time for contemplation. The name of this moon is the Egg Moon...and we druids love our eggs!

Mother Drum Encounter
June 14, 2010
7:00 p.m.

The Mother Drum may be the oldest of the Tympanic style drums, dating back at least 10,000 years. Imagine the surprise when some hunter draped a piece of hide over a hollow stump to dry and discoverd after a couple of days that it made wonderful sounds! I suspect that soon the whole village gathered around the instrument and discovered that it truly was a "gift from the Gods".

Today this gift is known by many names:

Pow-Wow Drum
Council Drum
War Drum (unfortunate but true)
Gathering Drum
Grandfather/Grandmother Drum

Don will share this gift with you and your friends and family as I bring my house drum - Thundering Moon - to the Grove. This is not your normal drum circle as the energy feedback is different and utterly unique. Remember, this is the only natural instrument that gets better as more people play.
